Our People say…

Natalie Tillier – Community Care Support Worker

“I chose a career in social care after looking after my father during his illness and studying Health and Social Care at college. I then realised I wanted to help other people in the community to stay in their own homes with family and friends rather than have to move to a Residential Care Home.

Everyday I get to meet different people, clients and colleagues and other professionals in the industry. The main reward of this job is changing people’s lives for the better. I don’t think I could find a more rewarding job! You can’t beat the smile on a clients face when they open the door and they know it’s you!

It’s an awesome feeling!”

 Tobi Akintokun – Recruitment Consultant

“I started my career in Social Care in 2004 in my gap year before starting university to study Biochemistry. I worked with elderly people in a care home. In 2005 I registered to work with AJ as a Temporary Support Worker so I had flexibility and control over my working hours helping me manage work around my studies.

AJ always had a good understanding of my personal situation and my future plans and supported me with any training to develop my skills. My role was so rewarding and fulfilling that I continued to work as a Support Worker and then decided to join AJ full time after I graduated to work in the head office as a consultant. My role now involves working closely with Temp Support Workers finding them work and helping Organisation Managers with their staffing needs. It’s been quite a journey!”
